Dual Star Academy of Dance (“Dual Star”, “we”, “us”) runs this website, dualstardance.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect through the website, how we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have. It applies to visitors in the United States and Canada.
Information we collect
- Forms you fill in: when you request a free trial class, register for an event or camp, order recital items or contact us, we collect what you type in, such as your name, email address, phone number and your dancer’s name, age and class interests.
- Payments: some forms take payments through PayPal. Card details go straight to PayPal; we do not see or store your full card number.
- Newsletter: if you sign up for our monthly newsletter, we keep your email address and name in Mailchimp.
- Live chat: if you use the chat window, we keep the messages and any contact details you share.
- Cookies and similar technology: see “Cookies” below.
- Basic technical data: like most websites, our host and security tools record IP addresses, browser type and pages visited to keep the site secure and working.

Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with service providers that help us run the studio and this website, such as our class registration and tuition portal (Akada), PayPal, Mailchimp, our website host and security services, and Google (for site statistics, only if you allow analytics cookies). We may also share information if the law requires it.

We use necessary cookies to make the site work and remember your cookie choices. Analytics, functional and marketing cookies, plus embedded videos and social feeds, only load after you agree in our cookie banner. Embedded content from other websites
Pages may include embedded content such as YouTube videos, our Instagram feed and Google reviews. Children’s privacy
Our classes are for children and adults, but this website is meant for parents, guardians and adult students. We collect information about a child only from a parent or guardian. If you believe a child under 13 sent us personal information directly, contact us and we will delete it.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, for example while your dancer is enrolled and for our tax and business records afterward.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live (including California and other US states with privacy laws, and Canada under PIPEDA and Quebec’s Law 25), you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to withdraw your consent. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will not treat you differently for using these rights. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and security monitoring, to protect your information. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure.
